ACT Indonesia Forum Members Preparing For An Additional Response In The Event Of Mount Agung’s Large Eruption

CWS Indonesia | November 26, 2017

On November 25th Indonesia’s Mount Agung, which is on Bali island, erupted for the second time in a week. The government has raised its warning for citizens and visitors to the highest possible level because a larger and more devastating eruption may be imminent. ACT Indonesia Forum members YEU (YAKKUM), ICCO-Cooperation and Lutheran World Relief have been on the ground in Bali since the mountain first showed signs of increased volcanic activity in September, and they are now preparing for an additional response in the event of a large eruption. CWS staff are monitoring the situation as well and stand ready to respond together with the other ACT Indonesia Forum members.
