Recently, the CWS Thailand child protection project team, who work with The Church of Christ in Thailand, hosted a Code of Conduct for Child Safeguarding information-sharing session for four new volunteer teachers from Nagaland. Since the young women will be teaching in schools that follow the Church’s child safeguarding policy, CWS team members Suchawalee (Bon, who is pictured here) and Ponsawan (Cake) were glad to have time with them. Bon noted that the session was very interactive and that the feedback was great with one participant describing the session as ‘eye-opening’. CWS is pleased to report that the initiative to familiarize all institutions – schools, orphanages, hospitals and parishes – affiliated with The Church of Christ in Thailand is going very well, with great enthusiasm and innovation from teachers and pastors, especially, being seen as the Code of Conduct is introduced, gradually, nationwide.
