June 20th in Jakarta, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) invited their partners to enliven the celebration hall where formal activities were held. CWS was unique in deciding to invite the refugee children and teens in our care to host exhibitions of there are – including drawings and henna painting! CWS team members were proud to note that our young people’s exhibits were the ones most visited among all the displays in the hall!
The UNHCR allocated a space for refugee youth and children who are in CWS care and protection to exhibit their drawings, which are the inspirational results of one therapeutic activity offered in group homes to help children to express themselves about their life experiences so far and their hopes for better futures.
