Health education sessions for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) volunteers and outreach workers (OW) in Maubin Township

CWS Myanmar | February 28, 2016

CWS and the local YMCA, in cooperation with Myanmar Red Cross Society, recently led follow-up health education sessions for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) volunteers and outreach workers (OW) in Maubin Township in southwest Myanmar. In all, 11 volunteers and OW from 5 villages joined the sessions. One participant was Saw El Ah, the Kha Naung village OW, who said that he was really proud to learn how to lead health education sessions himself, and also what to do for epidemic control in communities. He also said he was glad, not only to share information with people, but also to encourage them to take action to keep their surroundings clean and to build clean, safe latrines to help prevent disease and illness
