To support CROP’s Integrated Community Development initiative, several members of our CWS team in Myanmar were fortunate to join 15 civil society colleagues in adding to their understanding of effective Community WASH Promotion during a 4-day workshop that CWS co-hosted with the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST). This was the third in a series of workshops designed to improve water and sanitation project implementation in Myanmar and, in almost all participants’ view, it was as successful as the earlier initiatives. Now, all three CWS Field Coordinators, and our Program Manager, have benefited from CAWST technical training and support, and from their encouragement, too – which will help a great deal in ensuring appropriate WASH inputs to the perennially flooded Ayeyarwaddy River delta where all our Myanmar work is now focused.
