Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST) are with CWS team members in Yangon this week to lead a workshop about “Delivering Effective Water Sanitation and Hygiene Training”. Ten women and seven men from eight organizations, including CWS, are joining Lena Bunzenmeyer and Lee Boudreau, who are leading the workshop; and participants are learning how to facilitate their own WASH education-training activities. The CAWST team is focusing particularly on how to create a positive, motivating learning environment that maximizes learning from active sharing. Lena and Lee are successfully modeling best practice teaching themselves by using a variety of facilitation methods and teaching-learning techniques, including group discussion, drawing and presentation, which everyone is appreciating, so far.
